Oceanic Reflections

$1,728.00

24×24 Gallery Wrapped Stretched Canvas

I painted “Oceanic Reflections” because I wanted to challenge myself technically — I’d never attempted a true double exposure effect before, and the beach felt like the right subject to try it on. I love the ocean. Give me an umbrella, a spot in the sand, and the sound of the waves, and I’ll close my eyes and disappear into it — sometimes into sleep, sometimes into something closer to meditation. That rhythm has always been where I go to reset.

The double exposure isn’t just a technique here. It’s the point. The ocean isn’t layered behind her — it’s woven into her, the same way it’s woven into me every time I sit and listen to it. She and the water aren’t two things placed together. They’re one.

Original available.
