From an Army life to an easel in South Carolina.
Oil paintings built out of faith, unexpected turns, and paying attention to light I almost missed along the way.
I paint people, animals, and landscapes I'm drawn to — the ones that hold some kind of quiet strength. Faith runs through almost everything I make, not as a theme I chose, but because it's the lens I actually see through.
Featured Work
A few pieces I keep coming back to.
Listen to the Heart
Based on the story of Rahab — a woman her whole community had written off, until God gave her a place in something much bigger. I painted this not long after leaving a job where I’d been made to feel like something was wrong with me for not fitting the mold. Every time I’ve been pushed aside, He’s turned it into something better.
Vibrant Vision
Painted during a stretch when I was catching flack just for speaking the truth. I picked up fluorescent oil paint for the first time — it doesn’t do subtle, it forces you to commit. She’s not looking away and she’s not apologizing. A reminder that it’s okay to show your true colors, even when it’s uncomfortable.
Embrace the Storm
Painted out of a season that included a breast cancer scare — one of several hard stretches I've walked through. Each one has taught me the same thing: God holds me through it, which means I don't have to run from what's hard. I can face it instead.
My work has shown at Fairfax Art League, Milan Art Gallery, Crossroads Art Alliance, Public Works Art Center, and Charleston Convention Center Art Fest
I’m a juried member of the Charleston Art Guild and an associate member of the Summerville Art Guild.

A friend gave me my first set of paints. A hard year taught me how to actually use them. I haven't put a brush down since.
