This one started as a mess. I’d just gotten a new order of alcohol inks and went a little wild laying down the background — overdid it, honestly. But I didn’t want to give up on it. I wanted to see what it could still become.

Horses have always pulled at me — that quiet strength, the grace and presence they carry without trying, powerful and beautiful in the same breath. The background had gone dark on me, so a darker horse was the only way to bring it back into balance. I named her Wild Fire after the song I love.
